Serving One Another

Serving One Another

Each one of us  is so different  in so many ways.     We have different talents,  different tastes,  different aspirations,  different backgrounds,  different sorrows.     In the midst  of all these differences,  God wants us  to serve each other  with the special gifts  He has given  to us.     We are to share  our special gifts  to help others  along their particular  rough roads.

We all have  our faults  and weaknesses — and yet,  we all  have  special gifts.     God wants us  to use the gifts  we do have  to help those  in need  of our talent.     It doesn’t matter  if we feel  our talent  is great or small — we are to use it  to help others along   in this life.     So,  1 Peter 4:10  encourages each of us,

As each one  has received  a special gift,  employ it  in serving one another,  as good stewards  of the manifold grace  of God.

We might have a gift of kindness,  mechanical ability,  knowledge in a specialized field,  cooking,  cleaning,  organizing,  a good listening ear,  patience,  care giving,  teaching,  or any other  of God’s multitudinous gifts.     No matter what gift  or gifts  God has given us,  it is ours  to share.

Happy sharing.     ( One might need  to be a bit bolder  in sharing. )

As we find joy  in sharing our gifts,  we say,  “Hallelujah!     Lord,  thank You  for leading others  to share with us.     Help us  to see every opportunity  to share Your gifts  to us  with others.”

Love,
Margaret

Not that I have already obtained it,  or have already  become perfect,  but I press on  in order that  I may  lay hold  of that for which also  I was laid hold of  by Christ Jesus.
