The Testimony  Concerning Christ  Was Confirmed  in You

Christ Jesus,  our Savior,  cares for us  all through  our years.     We certainly will face  all sorts  of troubles,  challenges,  and times  of downright trials,  but through it all,  our Savior  is faithfully  caring  for us  and strengthening us  —  even when we feel alone.     We repeatedly feel  our inadequacy  —  but,  that is actually  a good thing,  because our inadequacies  are telling us  to trust  in the LORD God Almighty.     So,  we keep Psalm 100:3  in mind,

Know  that the LORD Himself  is God;
It is He  who has made us,  and not we ourselves;
We are His people  and the sheep  of His pasture.

Whatever  we need  to face  in life,  we know  that we belong  to the LORD  and must look  to our LORD’s guidance.     God alone  is able  to keep us  in the true faith  and lead us  through a life  that  honestly serves  and glorifies Him.     It’s all as Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 1:4-9,

I thank my God always  concerning you,  for the grace  of God  which was given you  in Christ Jesus,  that  in everything  you were enriched  in Him,  in all speech  and all knowledge,  even as the testimony  concerning Christ  was confirmed  in you,  so that you  are not lacking  in any gift,  awaiting eagerly  the revelation  of our Lord Jesus Christ,  who shall also  confirm you  to the end,  blameless  in the day  of our Lord Jesus Christ.

God is faithful,  through whom  you were called  into fellowship  with His Son,  Jesus Christ  our Lord.

God has called  each and every one  of us  to a true faith  and eternal salvation  as is promised  throughout His word,  the Bible.     There is no other  true faith.     There is no other  eternal salvation.     God made us  and gave us  Jesus Christ  as our one-and-only promised Savior.     As our Creator  and Sustainer,  the LORD  has repeatedly said  that only faith  in Christ Jesus  will open up heaven  and eternal fellowship  with the LORD  of lords.

It is God alone  who gives each  of us  the gifts  and knowledge  that we need  to serve Him rightly.     God led us  to His word.     He led us  to hear  His “testimony”  of how Christ Jesus  truly is  our Savior.     God is the one  who opened up  our hearts  and minds  to realize  and accept  His truths.     God helps us  to see  and understand  how Jesus  is the fulfillment  of all the prophecies  of a Savior.

Because God does all this and more  for our salvation  we can always trust Him  —  “even as the testimony  concerning Christ  was confirmed  in you.”     We don’t have  to worry  about doing everything  by our own strength.     God gives us  what He wants us  to receive  — and He  “confirms” us  “to the end”.      That means God makes us firm,  stable,  secure,  and established  in the true faith  —  as we abide  in His word  and let His word  abide  in us.     We must always look  to God’s truths  in the Bible.

Glad  for God’s work  in our hearts,  we say,  “Hallelujah!     LORD,  thank You  for being our All-in-all.”

Love,
Margaret
