There Is Nothing  Covered Up  That Will Not  Be Revealed

There are many situations  in which people  will try  to hide something  —  some truth  —  plan  —  surprise  —  or nefarious con job.     Plainly,  hiding plans  for a surprise birthday party  or welcome home party  are all done  with a good heart.     But,  hiding plans for a robbery  or any other misdeed  is done with an evil,  ungodly heart.

Sadly,  Jesus warns us  of  “covered up” plans  to destroy  our faith  in God’s salvation.     Though stated 2,000 years ago,  Jesus’ warning  is for every Christian  on this earth  until the end  has come.     When great crowds came  to hear Jesus preach,  Jesus told  His disciples  in Luke 12:1-5,

Beware  of the leaven  of the Pharisees,  which is hypocrisy.     But there is nothing covered up  that will not be revealed,  and hidden  that will not be known.

Accordingly  whatever  you have said  in the dark  shall be heard  in the light,  and what you have whispered  in the inner rooms  shall be proclaimed  upon the housetops.

And I say  to you,  My friends,  do not be afraid  of those  who kill the body,  and after that  have no more  that they can do.     But I will warn you  whom to fear;  fear the One  who after  He has killed  has authority  to cast  into hell;  yes, I tell you,  fear Him!

God Almighty knows  our every thought,  feeling,  whisper,  and plan.     He knows the hypocrite  and disrespectful  inside and out.     Nobody can hide  whatever hypocrisy  might be  in their heart.     When the inventors  of cults  and false doctrines  secretly whisper  their plans  to deceive people,  gain a following,  and make money,  God knows all  of it.

When those  who despise God’s ways  make plans  to destroy Christianity  and Christian principles,  God knows  all about that,  also.     Absolutely nothing can be hidden  from the LORD.     First of all,  that means  that we all need  to watch  what is  in our hearts,  minds,  and mouths.     Because we are all sinners,  we need  to be careful  about everything we think,  feel,  do,  and say.     Everything we do  needs  to be an imitation  of God’s ways  —  without any changes,  additions,  or subtractions  to His holy word.

We will be persecuted  in all sorts  of ways  for being faithful  to God’s word,  but Jesus tells us,  “Do not be afraid  of those  who kill the body  and after that  have no more  that they can do.”     Many Christians  have died  for God’s truths,  but they are now  eternally blessed.     We need to  “fear the One who after  He has killed  has authority  to cast  into hell.”     Our LORD  is the One  who has authority  to cast us  into hell.     We must  so deeply respect Him  and His ways  that we keep the truths  of His word purely  in love.     Speak only the truth  —  trusting in Him.     Let us not  get caught  in the web  of this world’s hypocrisies  and unbelief.

Truly respecting all  of God’s eternal word,  we say,  “Hallelujah!     Lord Jesus,  thank You  for keeping us safe  in the love  and meditation  of Your eternal word.”

Love,
Margaret

Not that I have already obtained it,  or have already  become perfect, but I press on  in order that  I may  lay hold  of that for which also  I was laid hold of  by Christ Jesus.
