You Are All Sons  of God  Through Faith

Although  it is very true  that people  have a tendency  to grab  onto every little indication  that they are great  and successful  in their own sphere,  they also have the tendency  to quickly feel  that all is lost  whenever there is  the slightest indication  of any  of their weaknesses.     These fickle feelings  are just that  —  fickle feelings.     They cannot be trusted  because they are always changing,  depending on the circumstances.

This world is full  of changing circumstances.     We can be well one day  and at death’s door  the next day  —  have a good income one day  and lose our job  the next day  —  have friends one day  and discover  how they’ve betrayed us  the next day.     Through all these changes,  there is one thing  that is constant  —  unchanging  —  as shown  to us  in Galatians 3:26-29,

For you are all sons  of God  through faith  in Christ Jesus.     For all  of you  who were baptized  into Christ  have clothed yourselves  with Christ.

There is neither Jew  nor Greek,  there is neither slave  nor free man,  there is neither male  nor female;  for you are all one  in Christ Jesus.     And if  you belong  to Christ,  then you are  Abraham’s descendants,  heirs  according to promise.

This is wonderful.     We are  all sons  of God  through faith  in Christ Jesus”.     In God’s eyes,  everyone  of faith  in Christ Jesus” is most naturally  a true child  of God.     God made us all.     When He sees His children,  He does not look  at their nationality,  their circumstances  in this life,  or whether they are male or female.    Everyone  who believes  that Jesus Christ washes away  absolutely all  of his sins  is considered one of  “Abraham’s descendants,  heirs  according to promise.”

That is because  in Genesis 17:5,  the LORD promised Abraham,

No longer shall your name be called Abram,
But your name  shall be  Abraham;
For I have made you  the father  of a multitude  of nations.

By  “faith”  in the LORD,  God Almighty made Abraham  “the father  of a multitude  of nations”.     God is saying here  that any and everyone,  from any nation  in the whole wide world  becomes a child of God  —  like Abraham  —  through faith  like Abraham had.     Therefore,  we read verses like:

For what does the Scripture say?     “Abraham  believed God,  and it was credited  to him  as righteousness.”     Romans 4:3  and  Genesis 15:6

For the promise  to Abraham  or to his descendants  that he would be heir  of the world  was not  through the Law,  but through the righteousness  of faith.     Romans 4:13  and  Genesis 17:4-6

Even so  Abraham  believed God,  and it was reckoned  to him  as righteousness.     Galatians 3:6

No matter  who we are,  through faith alone  we are  “all sons  of God  through faith  in Christ Jesus”.     That is how we live together  in faith,  hope,  and love.     This is not including those  who choose  to live  in false doctrines  —  only those  who live  in the faith  that God’s word proclaims.     With that faith,  we say,  “Hallelujah!      LORD,  thank You  for making us  Your children.”

Love,
Margaret
