There Is  No Other God  Besides Me

Isaiah 45:21
There is no other God besides Me,
A righteous God  and a Savior.
There is none  except Me.

Over the years,  every once  in awhile,  there always comes someone proclaiming  to be the Savior  of the world.     They will claim  that no one  can enter heaven  without their permission.     They claim  that only they  have the truths  of God.     They will make false prophecies galore,  and claim  to have been given authority  by God Almighty.     They also claim  to have had many visions  of various sorts.

Throughout the Bible,  God’s word,  the LORD  often declares  that He is  the one-and-only God  and Savior.     A few examples could include:

Isaiah 43:10
I,  even I,  am the LORD,
And there is no savior besides Me.

Hosea 13:4
You were not  to know any god  except Me,
For there is no savior  besides Me.

2 Peter 1:1
To those  who have received  a faith  of the same kind  as ours,  by the righteousness  of our God  and SaviorJesus Christ…….

Jude 1:25
To the only God  our Savior,  through Jesus Christ  our Lord,  be glory,  majesty,  dominion  and authority,  before all time  and now  and forever.     Amen.

These references point  to Jesus Christ  as our Lord,  God,  and Savior.     So,  how can we really be sure?     The Old Testament contains many prophecies  of the Savior.     They describe Jesus’ birth,  teachings,  healings,  sufferings,  death,  and resurrection.     None  of the self-proclaimed saviors  have been the fulfillment  of any  of these Old Testament prophecies.     Jesus has been the exact fulfillment  of all  of them  —  to the last detail.     That is why Psalm 146:3-5  declares,

Do not trust  in princes,
In mortal man,  in whom there is  no salvation.
His spirit departs,  he returns  to the earth;
In that very day  his thoughts perish.
How blessed  is he  whose help  is the God  of Jacob,
Whose hope  is in the LORD  his God.

Because Jesus  is the perfect fulfillment  of so many Old Testament prophecies  of the Savior,  we can know  that He surely is God,  our Savior.     All the other self-proclaimed saviors  are mere  “mortal man,  in whom there is  no salvation.”     They die the death  of mere men  —  and perish forever.

But,  when the apostle Peter witnessed to all the rulers  and elders  of the people,  he declared  about Jesus  in Acts 4:12,

And there is salvation  in no one else;  for there is no other name  under heaven  that has been given  among men  by which we must be saved.

If we honestly want  to be saved  and live eternally  in heaven,  we need  to check out everything  the Bible says  about the Savior  —  realizing that the Old Testament was written  hundreds and thousands  of years  before Jesus was born.     That makes all those prophecies impossible  to fulfill  by mere men  —  but totally possible  by God Almighty.

Glad  to know  that only Jesus  is the true Savior,  we say,  “Hallelujah!     LORD,  thank You  for Your marvelous fulfillments  of prophecies  of our real Savior,  Jesus.”

Love,
Margaret
