The King Eternal,  Immortal,  Invisible,  the Only God

Since the time  of Christ’s stay  on earth,  there have been many  who have proclaimed themselves  as the one  who has “restored”  or “instituted”  the kingdom  of God  on this earth.     They will strongly proclaim  that one must go through them  and their doctrines  to enter heaven.     Their lives  have not shown  any sort  of honest godliness.     They are not the fulfillment  of any actual Old Testament prophecy  for anything.

The one thing  they never mention  are all the Bible references  that point  to the LORD God Almighty  who has established His kingdom  on this earth.     Because Jesus Christ  is the fulfillment  of all the Old Testament prophecies  of a Savior,  only He  has the authentic credentials  to be honestly validated  as the King of kings,  Lord of lords,  and God of gods  over all things  for all eternity.

Because the people  on this earth  are always  being faced with the domineering ways  and trickery  of false doctrines,  we need  to be strengthened  in the truths  of God’s fulfilled prophecies  about the true Savior.     Some of the Bible verses we need  to remember  include,

Luke 1:33   (Where the angel  told the virgin Mary  about the baby  she would have.)
He will reign over the house of Jacob forever,  and His kingdom will have no end.

1 Timothy 1:17   (The apostle Paul  thanking God  for His saving love  in Christ.)
Now to the King eternal,  immortal,  invisible,  the only God,  be honor and glory forever  and ever.     Amen.

1 Timothy 6:15-16   (Paul  praising the Lord Jesus.)
He who is the blessed  and only Sovereign,  the King of kings  and Lord of lords,  who alone possesses immortality  and dwells  in unapproachable light,  whom no man has seen  or can see.     To Him  be honor  and eternal dominion!     Amen.

Revelation 17:14
These will wage war against the Lamb,  and the Lamb  will overcome them,  because He is Lord of lords  and King  of kings.

Revelation 19:16
And on His robe  and on His thigh  He has  a name written,  “KING OF KINGS,  AND LORD OF LORDS.”

In just this,  we take assurance  that Jesus is “the King eternal,  immortal”.     That is just one  of the verses declaring  that Jesus is “the only God”,  with no beginning  and no end.     The LORD God  is in control  of all things pertaining  to our salvation  —  not some sinner  here on earth.     Paul declares  that Jesus is  “the only God”.     Because Jesus is God Almighty,  He had the power  to rise  from the dead.     Time and again,  God’s word declares Jesus  to be  the  “King of kings,  and Lord of lords”.     No sinner can change  that truth.

The point is  that no one  has any authority  to declare their church  or organization  to be the way  to heaven.     The way  to heaven  is only through faith  in Christ Jesus  as our Savior  from sin.     We are not  to trust  in any particular preacher.     Only Jesus  has proven His authority.

Looking  to Jesus,  we say,  “Hallelujah!     Lord Jesus,  reign  in our hearts forever!”

Love,
Margaret
