Many people tend  to trust  in their money,  political clout,  knowledge,  physical strength,  popularity,  or some other worldly thing.     But,  when we must die  —  as everyone does,  sooner or later  —  we can’t take any  of these worldly aspects  with us.     And,  when we have  all sorts  of problems  in this world,  we find  that many  of these  worldly aspects  are not  as trustworthy  as we had imagined them  to be.

We wonder  what actually  can be trusted.     King David repeatedly  experienced  what is trustworthy  in every situation.     With positive assurance,  he wrote  in Psalm 62:1,

My soul  waits  in silence  for God only;
From Him  is  my salvation.

In every challenge  we have  to face,  we can trust  our Lord and Savior  to lead us  in the way  that is best.     God  is the one  who is ultimately  in control  of all things.     His plan  and purpose  will work  all things  for our eternal good  in the end.

Knowing that,  we say  with awe,  “Hallelujah!      LORD,  Your love  and righteousness  are eternally victorious.”

Love,
Margaret
