Better  Is the Little  Of the Righteous

The righteous  children  of God  can get discouraged  when evil people  seem  to prosper  in so many different ways  —  while God’s children  are persecuted  and have fewer provisions,  along with  their many trials.     But the situation  is not  as it appears.     We need  to look  at the whole picture  as God  Almighty  sees it.     God knows  our future  as well as our past  —  so Psalm 37:16-20  tells us  what God knows  and wants us  to know,

Better  is the little  of the righteous
Than  the abundance  of many wicked.
For the arms  of the wicked  will be broken
But the Lord  sustains  the righteous.
The Lord knows  the days  of the blameless,
And their inheritance  will be forever.
They  will not  be ashamed  in the time  of evil,
And  in the days  of famine  they  will have abundance.
But  the wicked  will perish;
And  the enemies  of the Lord  will be  like the glory  of the pastures,
They vanish  —  like smoke  they vanish away.

“The abundance  of many wicked”  along with  all  “of the wicked”  will all disappear  and be no more.     For now,  the wicked  arrogantly mock,  belittle,  and diminish  God’s children  on earth,  but they have  no clue  that God’s children  are quietly  being supported  by the Lord  —  and that God  is preparing  a marvelous  eternal inheritance  for all His children.     That is why none  of God’s children  ever have  to be ashamed  of anything.     They are forever  with the eternal  Lord  of lords  and King  of kings.

That’s something  to glory in  and be glad in  as we let God  be our strength.

The wicked  are too blind  to realize  that they  are preparing  their own demise.

Since God has told us  our future,  we can rest  in His grace,  and say,  “Hallelujah!     Lord,  it’s so good  to know  that all things  are in Your hands.”

Love,
Margaret
