Most Holy

I will give thanks  to the LORD  with all my heart;
I will tell  of all Your wonders.
I will be glad  and exult  in You;
I will sing praise  to Your name,  O Most High.       Psalm 9:1-2

The LORD  gives life  and takes it away  because He alone  is the “Most High”  over all things.     When Jesus  let the LORD’s will  be done  as He died  on the cross  to pay  for all our sins,  it was because  of Jesus’ righteousness  as a true man,  the LORD’s power  and authority  raised Him  from the dead.

God’s power  and authority  will also raise us  from the dead  because Jesus’ death  and resurrection  have made  all believers holy  and fit  for heaven.     Through faith,  Jesus’ righteousness  becomes our righteousness.

We have  no power  to do any such thing  for ourselves,  but the  “Most High”  has all power  and graciously  has chosen  to make  all believers holy,  as a gift,   through faith  in Jesus.     That is why we  “give thanks  to the LORD”  with all our hearts  and  “tell of all Your wonders”.     That is an awesome reason  to  “be glad”“exult”,  and  “sing praise”  to the LORD.

Resurrection power  is  in God’s hands only.     There is no other person,  authority,  or power  that can resurrect  anything.     Therefore,  we don’t have  to be concerned  about the claims  of anyone else  who says  they are the one able  to grant us  entrance  into heaven  —  or to deny us entrance.

Therefore,  our salvation  and resurrection  are very personal  —  just between us  and Jesus.     So,  it is  “I”  who gives  “thanks”,  tells  of God’s “wonders”,  is  “glad”“exults”,  and “sings praise”  to the “Most High”  only.     “I” do this  in response  to Jesus’ miraculous gift  of free salvation.

With a heart  of worship,  we say,  “Hallelujah!     LORD,  thank You  for Your wondrous salvation  through Jesus alone.”

Love,
Margaret
