The Testimony  of The LORD

A testimony  is a statement  made under oath  that affirms  a truth  in question.     Many people question   just who is  the true God  over all  —  who created us  —  is there a heaven and hell  —  what do we need  to do to get to heaven,  etc.     The LORD God Almighty  gives us  His “testimony”  in the Bible  to answer all  of these questions,  and more.

King David loved the “testimony”  in God’s word  and His daily witness  to us all.     After mentioning God’s witness  in the wonders  of all creation,  David wrote  in Psalm 19:7,

The testimony  of the LORD  is sure,  making wise  the simple.

In other words,  when we look  at all the wonders  in every nook  and cranny  of creation,  that is  God Almighty speaking  to us.     We  “hear”  God’s  “testimony”  as we observe   the miracles  in His creation.     They don’t have  to make  an audible sound.     Just the absolute wonders  of their awesome being  loudly shouts out  the glory,  love,  intelligence,  and almighty power  of the LORD.

Do we have a “testimony”  like the LORD?     We are just  a tiny speck  in God’s vast creation.     But,  we are  most wondrously made.     Our physical being  is a “testimony”  of God’s power.     We have a brain,  muscles,  skeletal system,  eyes,  ears,  etc.,  etc.     Every single part of us  testifies  of God’s power  and love.     Just looking  at this  should be making our  “simple”  being  “wise”  in knowing  the absolute greatness  of our Creator.

Are we “wise”  in knowing  who God is?

If not quite yet,  we need  to keep on looking  at all  of God’s “testimony”.     When we care enough  to actually listen  to His “testimony”,  He will show us  His truths.     We will know His truths.     Then  we will praise Him  as David did.

In respect  and reverence  of God’s almighty power,  we say,  “Hallelujah!     LORD,  You alone  are God Almighty.     Thank You  for stooping down  to teach us.”

Love,
Margaret
