I Will  Heal Their Land

Many countries worldwide  are distressed  and in a turmoil  these days.     Behind the unrest  are included  the things  Galatians 5:19-24  describes,

Now the deeds  of the flesh  are evident,  which are:   immorality,  impurity,  sensuality,  idolatry,  sorcery,  enmities,  strife,  jealousy,  outbursts  of anger,  disputes,  dissensions,  factions,  envying,  drunkenness,  carousing,  and things like these,  of which I forewarn you,  just as I have  forewarned you,  that  those  who practice such things  will not inherit  the kingdom  of God.

But  the fruit  of the Spirit  is love,  joy,  peace,  patience,  kindness,  goodness,  faithfulness,  gentleness,  self-control;  against such things  there is no law.     Now those  who belong  to Christ Jesus  have crucified  the flesh  with its passions  and desires.

These listings  just give us a general,  basic description  of what is  way down under  all the corruption  that causes  distress  and turmoil  worldwide  —  and what the fundamental solution  needs to include.     Although  all this  is obvious,  people still prefer  to set themselves  and their personal desires up  over everyone else.     So,  the struggle goes on.

Narcissistic people  become leaders  and further deepen  the intensity  of sin’s problems  for everyone under their rule.     God Almighty  gives us  the solution  in 2 Chronicles 7:14,

If…    My people  who are called  by My name  humble themselves  and pray  and seek  My face  and turn  from their wicked ways,  then I  will hear  from heaven,  will forgive  their sin  and  will heal  their land.

That promise  of God  is true  —  whether at a personal level  or an international level.     We all need  to humble ourselves,  pray,  seek the LORD,  and turn  from our wickedness.

Finally  at peace  with God,  we say,  “Hallelujah!     Lord,  lead our whole lives  in the ways  of Christ Jesus,  our Savior.”

Love,
Margaret
