Even Though  the Needy One  Speaks  What Is Right

Isaiah made  many prophecies  about the coming Savior  —  and they all proved  to be true  in Christ Jesus.     One thing Isaiah prophesied  is that Jesus’ teachings  would give spiritual understanding  to the Lord’s people,  so that they would be able  to realize  and appreciate  the blessings  of God’s mercy  in whatever was happening  to them.

Christians  are well aware  of all  the various onslaughts  of this world  of unbelievers.     Unbelievers  viciously  and sneakily  attack the Christian faith  in every sort  of way  and angle  —  mocking Christians  and trying  to get God’s children  to cave in  to worldly morals  by denying their Savior  with their behaviors  and beliefs.    Isaiah prophesied  in Isaiah 32:7-8,

As for  a rogue,  his weapons  are evil;
He devises wicked schemes
To destroy  the afflicted  with slander,
Even though  the needy one  speaks  what is right.
But  the noble man  devises noble plans;
And by noble plans  he stands.

The  “afflicted”  and  “the needy one”  are the Christians  withstanding  all the attacks  of the unbelievers.     No matter what sort of “scheme”  or  “slander”  the unbelievers attack with,  “the needy one  speaks  what is right”.     As has been par for the course  through all  of history,  God’s children  have,  therefore,  undergone persecution  for speaking  “what is right”.     They have been mocked,  beaten,  tortured,  imprisoned,  stoned,  and killed.     Through all  of that  they understand  through faith  that God’s truths  are victorious  in the end  —  God  will judge all  —  and God will  make His children  stand victorious  with Him.

Therefore,  in the nobility  of God’s chosen,  the Christian  “devises noble plans”  —  the plans  to trust  in our Savior  no matter what happens.     Isaiah said,  “By noble plans  he stands”.     Although mocked,  slandered,  tortured  or martyred,  the faithful  will victoriously stand  through all eternity  with God Almighty.

As we plan  to stand  for God’s truths  through God’s mercies  in Christ,  we say,  “Hallelujah!     LORD,  thank You  for making us stand  with You.”

Love,
Margaret
