What Is Seen

What Is Seen

Every day  we see  so many wondrously made things  —  even though  we might often  take them for granted,  not giving them  a second thought.     The skies,  stars,  sun,  sea,  clouds,  plants,  people,  and other life forms  of every kind  are all things  that are wondrously made.     Much of this creation is not seen,  but is nevertheless  also wondrously made.

We aren’t able  to create one little atom.     But,  of God Almighty,  Hebrews 11:3 declares,

By faith  we understand  that the worlds  were prepared  by the word  of God,  so that  what is seen  was not made  out of things  which are visible.

All the things  we see  and feel  “were prepared  by the word  of God.     God created all things  simply by His  “word”.     He spoke  and it was made.     Psalm 33:6  beautifully tells us,

By the word  of the LORD  the heavens  were made,
And by the breath  of His mouth  all their host.

Yet,  by some odd quirk,  arrogant people  —  mere created beings  who will soon enough die  —  down play God’s almighty power,  claiming instead a big bang theory  of creation,  or some other theory.     None of their endless theories make any sense.     They are unable  to honestly account for  the inestimable intelligence  in the creation  of anything.     Bone and muscle structures,  brains,  nervous systems,  eyes,  ears,  digestive systems,  and all the balance  in nature  are not rightly accounted for  in a big bang  or evolutionary theory.

But,  we think.     When we study  God’s word,  we see how  throughout history  God made promises  of a Savior.     Those promises  were intricately kept  in Christ Jesus  thousands of years  after they were made.     That’s a big hint meant  to enlighten us.     We learn  the truth  about creation  in God’s word,  so  Psalm 119:130 says,

The unfolding  of Your words  gives light;
It gives understanding  to the simple.

When we allow  God’s  “words”  to give us  “light”,  we gain  “understanding”  —  even though we are “simple”  in comparison  to God Almighty.      God makes us glad  “by faith”.

Resting in God’s truths,  we say,  “Hallelujah!     LORD,  You do all things  awesomely well!”

Love,
Margaret
