I Will Never Desert You

I Will  Never  Desert You

The promises  of God  are more than special  —  they are  our strength here  on earth,  and  our eternal life.     With all  of the stuff  we have  to face  in this world,  it can easily appear  that God  is not  with us.     But,  when we continue  putting our trust  in Jesus’ sacrifice  for us  on the cross  and believe  that His shed blood   truly washes away  absolutely all  our sins,  we have God’s  most blessed promises.

We are not going  through our trials  alone.     Here are just a few  of God’s promises  that should erase our fears  during trials.

I will ask  the Father,  and He will give you  another Helperthat He may  be with you forever;  that is the Spirit  of truth,  whom the world  cannot receive,  because  it does not see Him  or know Him,  but  you know Him  because  He abides  with you  and will be  in you.     I will not leave you  as orphans;  I will come  to you.       John 14:16-18

Make sure  that your character  is free  from the love  of money,  being content  with what you have;  for He Himself  has said,  “I will never desert younor will I ever  forsake you.”       Hebrews 13:5

Anyone  who goes  too far  and does not abide  in the teaching  of Christ,  does not have God;  the one who abides  in the teachinghe has  both the Father  and the Son.       2 John 1:9

Abide  in Me,  and in you.     As the branch  cannot  bear fruit  of itself  unless it abides  in the vine,  so neither  can you  unless you  abide  in Me.       John 15:4

God will never  “desert”  or “forsake” us  because  we “abide”  in His “teaching”,  that is  in God’s word  in the Bible.     No other book  can be a substitute  for the Bible.     We have God’s promises  as we stick  to His word.     He alone is trustworthy.    Note how personal  God made  these promises.

Comforted  and encouraged  by God’s promises  to never “desert”  nor  “forsake” us,  we look  to Him  in praise,  saying,  “Hallelujah!     LORD,  You alone  are God  and there is no other.     We don’t  have to be afraid.”

Love,
Margaret
