He  Has Perfected  for All Time

Christians  can get really down  on themselves.     They see their sins  and groan deeply  —  imagining their sins  are unforgivable  —  and there’s no way out.     It’s just awesomely wondrous,  that our Savior  says otherwise.

Yes,  our sins  are  more than gross.     Our sins  have shown  a total lack  of understanding  —  a misconception  of God’s grace  through faith  in Christ Jesus  —  questioning unbelief  —  and a sad,  faulty idea  of the power  of Jesus’ life,  sacrifice on the cross,  and victorious resurrection.

We need  to learn  and never forget  that Hebrews 10:14  teaches us,

For  by one offering  He has perfected  for all time  those  who are sanctified.

When our Lord Jesus Christ suffered  and died  on that cross,  that “one” time,  He  perfected  for all time  those  who are sanctified.”     No other sacrifice  —  or offering  —  is needed  —  now,  or ever.     It was prophesied  in Psalm 40  that only the sacrifice  of the Savior  was acceptable,  and that truth  stands forever.

God provided  a wondrous way  through prophesy  to assure us  of that.     Who are we  to say otherwise?     God’s word  stands forever.

Through faith  in Christ Jesus  we are  “perfected”  forever and ever.     We are totally  “sanctified”  by believing  God’s truths  as He presents them  in His eternal word  in the Bible.      Through faith  we are holy  and perfect  in God’s eyes.

That is God’s love  working  in our  lowly lives.     We need  to give humble,  reverent thanks  to the LORD Almighty  for His faithful love  in Christ Jesus.

Realizing our helplessness  and God’s tender care,  we say,  “Hallelujah!     LORD,  thank You  for picking us up  when we are totally down.”

Love,
Margaret
