You Are From Everlasting

People misunderstand  the whole wonder  of God’s being  when they don’t realize  that He is  “from everlasting”.     Many Bible verses,  along with Psalm 93:2  reveal,

Your throne  is established  from  of old;
You are  from everlasting.

Because Jesus is God  our Savior,  Revelation 22:13 quotes Him  saying,

I am the Alpha  and the Omega,  the first  and the last,  the beginning  and the end.

Hebrews 7:3 further says  of Jesus,

Without fatherwithout motherwithout genealogyhaving neither beginning  of days  nor end  of life,  but made  like the Son  of God,  He remains  a priest perpetually.

No one can explain “how”  this can be  —  but it is this way.     Another  often expressed fact is  in Psalm 117:2,

For His lovingkindness  is great  toward us,
And the truth  of the LORD  is everlasting.

The LORD is not an invention  of man’s imagination.     The  “everlasting”  “truth  of the LORD”  is contained  in God’s word  to guide us  to eternal salvation.     Because God’s truths  are  “everlasting”  it only makes  common sense  to pay attention  to all  of God’s word.     The many fulfilled prophecies  in the Bible  should merit  our attention  and serious consideration.

When we have questions,  doubts,  fears,  Isaiah 40:28  says,

Do you not know?     Have you not heard?
The Everlasting God,  the LORD,  the Creator  of the ends  of the earth
Does not become weary  or tired.
His understanding  is inscrutable.

We need  to settle down  and think  about  the truths  in God’s word.     God totally understands us,  and knows we need testings  and trials  to strengthen us  in the true faith.     He will not get “tired”  of helping us.     God’s salvation plan  for us  is from the beginning  and we can depend  on Him  as all the saints  of old have.

Assured  of God’s “everlasting” grace,  we say,  “Hallelujah!     LORD,  thank You  for Your everlasting faithfulness.”

Love,
Margaret
