Where  Is He?

When the wise men were searching for the baby Jesus,  they stopped at Jerusalem  to see if anyone there  knew where  the new King was.     They asked  in Matthew 2:2,

Where is He  who has been born  King of the Jews?     For we saw His star  in the east,  and have come  to worship Him.

The chief priests  and scribes  said that scriptures prophesied  that the Savior  would be born  in Bethlehem,  so the wise men went there  and worshiped  the newborn King.     They had traveled  a long ways  just for the opportunity  to “worship”  the baby  who was “born King  of the Jews”.

Many today  don’t even want  to get out  of bed  and travel  for a few minutes  to worship.     If that is the case,  it’s probable  that it’s also too bothersome  to open up  their Bibles  and study  to find out all  that God Almighty  has done for us  in love.

So,  where is He  who has been born King  of the Jews”  in our lives?     Do we even realize  that Jesus wants  to be a part  of our lives?     We can learn  to recognize Him  for who He is  —  God Almighty  —  and ask Him  to live  in our hearts.

In wanting  to have our Redeemer Creator  in our hearts,  we need  to think about John 1:1,

In the beginning  was the Word,  and the Word was with God,  and the Word  was God.

We also need to keep  in mind  John 1:14,

And the Word  became flesh,  and dwelt  among us,  and we saw  His glory,  glory as of the only begotten  from the Father,  full of grace  and truth.

We can see  God’s  “glory”“grace and truth”  in His word  in the Bible.     Jesus reveals Himself  to us  in His word.     Finding Jesus  in His word  and worshiping Him,  we say,  “Hallelujah!     LORD,  thank You  for wanting  to live  in our hearts.”

Love,
Margaret
