Impossible! Possible!

Impossible!   Possible!

The Bible is chock-full  of passages  and a wide variety  of instances  showing us  that  “all things are possible  with God.”      One instance is when the angel  told the virgin Mary  that she would bear  the Son of God.     Mary wondered how  that could be  for a virgin,  and the angel explained  in Luke 1:37,

For nothing will be impossible  with God.

A virgin birth is “possible”  with God,  as is a birth  in a woman’s old age,  as it was  with Elizabeth  and Sarah.     ( Luke 1:36 and Genesis 17:17, where Abraham thought,  “Will a child  be born  to a man one hundred years old?     And will Sarah,  who is ninety years old,  bear a child?”      It was “possible”  with God. )

The same possibility existed  for a very rich man,  who didn’t want  to give up  all his treasures.     When the people questioned,  Jesus replied  in Mark 10:25,

It is easier  for a camel  to go through the eye  of a needle  than  for a rich man  to enter  the kingdom  of God.

Astounded, the people wondered  who could possibly  be saved  and enter “the kingdom  of God”.     Jesus answered  in Mark 10:27,

With people  it is impossible,  but not  with God;  for all things  are possible  with God.

Let us see  and understand  that  “all things  are possible  with God”  —  even our very own salvation.

God desires  to save  all  of us.     We need  to let Him lead us  through  His word,  showing us  how He has proven  His eternal love  and faithfulness.     We are all  in different life situations.     And,  we might imagine  that we cannot  be saved.     But,  “all things  are possible  with God”.     We need  to delve into  His word  and see  how it has proven itself.

God is trustworthy  —  not mere men,  who want  to vaunt themselves.

Seeing that,  we say,  “Hallelujah!     Thank you,  LORD,  for Your faithful love  —  to even me.”

A Christian devotional  to glorify  the LORD of lords  and GOD of gods.
