A Time  of Tribulation

This world  has had trials  and tribulations  ever since the Garden of Eden.     None of us  wants trouble,  but nevertheless,  we have troubles  in every part  of life  —  from the family  all the way  through local,  state,  national,  and world affairs.     All the time  since Jesus’ coming  is considered  the end times.     And Jesus told us  in Mark 13:19,  that in these end times,

For those days  will be a time  of tribulation  such as has not occurred  since the beginning  of the creation  which God created  until now,  and never will.

Though no one knows  when the actual end  will be,  we do know  that we are  in the end times.      It has been around 2,000 years since Jesus spoke  of end times,  and He gave us  a special message  in John 16:33,

These things  I have spoken  to you,  so that  in Me  you may  have peace.     In the world  you have tribulation,  but take courage;  I have overcome  the world.

So,  we  have peace  in Christ  as we trust in Him.     God is always in control.     With that, we also need  to remember what Jesus said  in Mark 13:20,

Unless  the Lord  had shortened  those days,  no life would have been saved;  but for the sake  of the elect,  whom He chose,  He shortened the days.

For our sake,  the LORD  has shortened  the days  of tribulation.     So, we know we’ll remain  in His care.     We need to stay strong  in His word to us  in the Bible.     That means,  read our Bibles so we may grow  in faith,  hope,  and love.     In faith,  we accept Jesus’ blessing  in John 14:27,

Peace I leave  with you;  My peace  I give  to you;  not as the world gives  do I give  to you.     Do not let  your heart  be troubled,  nor let it be fearful.

With that,  we rest  in Jesus,  saying,  “Hallelujah!     LORD,  lead us to remain  in Your word.”

Love,
Margaret
