Those  Who Draw Near  to God  through Him

People come up  with all sorts  of ways  to try and  “draw near  to God”.     What is sad  is that often  their hidden agenda  is to make God  give them their desires  or to be  the same  as God  in power.     They don’t honestly respect  or revere  the true God’s  eternal authority,  wisdom,  and power.     But,  the truth is  that the LORD  always has been God  —  is God now  —  and always will be God  over all things.     Nothing can ever  change that.

It was  with His almighty wisdom,  power,  and love  that God  brought about  His plan  of salvation  “through” Jesus Christ alone.     There is no better plan  for anyone  to be enabled  to receive  the honest forgiveness  of sins  and eternal life.     And,  it’s not very smart  for mankind  to be imagining  all sorts  of alternative ways  to heaven,  because  in reality  there are none.

God knows  that none of us  is capable  of becoming sinless  and fit  for heaven  through our own efforts  —  whatever kind of efforts  they may be.     Only God’s grace  —  His unmerited love  —  can save anyone.     And boy,  do we ever need  that unmerited love.

From the beginning,  God has shown  through many prophecies  His intention  to save us  by His grace  through the sacrificial merits  of our Savior,  Christ Jesus.     Because Jesus  is sinless  and the fulfillment  of so many prophecies,  we can glory  in Hebrews 7:25,

He is able also  to save forever  those who draw near  to God   through Himsince   He always lives  to make intercession  for them.

We can only  draw near  to God the Father  “through”  our resurrected Lord Jesus Christ.      There is no other way to “draw near  to God”.     There is no other way  to receive grace  or forgiveness  of any sort.     We have to realize that.

As we sincerely  “draw near  to God  through”  Christ Jesus,  we can honestly say,  “Hallelujah!     Lord Jesus,  You alone  are my Savior  as all the Bible proclaims.”

Love,
Margaret
