Salvation  in No One Else

The Christian faith  is constantly challenged  by unbelievers.     It has been that way  from the beginning.     When Jesus’ disciples preached,  they were often persecuted  and jailed.     One time  when they were jailed  for preaching  and then questioned  about their authority  to preach  and heal,  Peter  boldly preached Christ  and said  in Acts 4:12,

And there is salvation  in no one else;  for there is no other name  under heaven  that has been given  among men  by which we must be saved.

Some people still doubt that today.     How can we be sure  there is  “salvation  in no one else”?     No one else’s coming  has been the fulfillment  of many prophecies  —  as Jesus’ coming  was prophesied  throughout the Old Testament.     Throughout the Old Testament are prophecies  that say the Savior would be a descendant of Abraham,  Isaac,  Jacob,  David,  and the line of Judah.     We are told  that He would be born of a virgin  in Bethlehem  —  that He would heal many  —  suffer and die  on the cross  while people mocked Him  —  have a sword pierce His side  —  and be resurrected.

That sort of evidence  has not been given  about anyone else  on earth.     Anyone  who claims  they have the authority  to admit people  to heaven  —  or condemn them  to eternal destruction  —  is a deceiver.     People need  to realize  the awesome truths  of the Bible,  that  “there is no other name  under heaven  that has been given  among men  by which we must be saved”.

We don’t have  to worry about anyone’s claims  of power over our souls.     When we believe and trust  in Christ,  we belong to Him  —  we become God’s children  and can depend  on our LORD  to take us directly  to heaven.

Resting  in Jesus’ care,  we say,  “Hallelujah!     LORD,  thank You  for giving us  thousands of years  of evidence  of Your saving love.”

Love,
Margaret
