We  Will Come  to Him

Christians  who desire  to live  according to God’s word  can often find themselves alone  because of the liberalities  of this world  —  and even within the church  as it caves in  to the ways  of the world.     But,  God’s children  are not ever really alone.     Actually,  God lives within the hearts  of all His children  —  even though there are some so-called churches  that deny  this biblical truth.

Here are only a few verses  that promise  God’s abiding  in us.

John 14:16-17  —  (Jesus said)  I will ask the Father,  and He will give you another Helper,  that He may be with you forever;  that is the Spirit  of truth,  whom the world cannot receive,  because it does not see Him  or know Him,  but you know Him  because  He abides  with you  and will be  in you.

John 14:23  —  If anyone loves Me,  he will keep My word;  and My Father  will love him,  and We will come  to him  and make Our abode  with him.

Hebrews 13:5  —  …He Himself  has said,  “I will never desert you,  nor will I ever forsake you.”

God lives  —  abides  —  in the hearts  of all His children  —  for all time.     He is there  to help,  comfort,  strengthen,  and lead  in the truth.     Jesus prophesied  that in the end days  the hearts  of the people would be cold  and that there would be great tribulations.     The end days He spoke of  were even beginning  to be experienced  in the early church  during their persecutions.    But,  the end was not yet.

Down through the ages,  God has lived  in the hearts  of His people  —  and He is living  in us today  as we face the ugliness  of this world’s ungodliness.

Ever thankful  that God truly abides  in the hearts  of His children,  we say,  “Hallelujah!     LORD,  thank You  for graciously condescending  to live  in our poor hearts  to help us.”

Love,
Margaret
