It Is  the Gift  of God

There are times  when people  return the gifts  they’ve received  to the store  for any number  of reasons:   it’s the wrong size  —  they simply don’t like it  —  they already have one just like it,  etc.

And people reject  the gift  of God’s eternal salvation  through faith  in Christ alone because  it doesn’t fit their desired lifestyle  —  they simply don’t like being told  what to believe  or repent of  —  they think  their worldly religion  is “just like it”  and will also get them  to heaven.

But,  some day  they will be sorry  for rejecting Almighty God’s plain gift  of eternal salvation,  foolishly imagining  it was not  a desirable lifestyle  for them.     On that Judgment Day  they will realize  how grossly ugly  their thoughtlessly desired lifestyle was  —  and how blessedly good  God’s lifestyle is  for everyone.     They will be sorry  for being so arrogant  about rejecting God’s word  regarding faith and repentance  —  as they realize  the reality  of God’s power  to honestly love  and forgive.     On that day,  they will be appalled  at their stubborn foolishness  in imagining  their false worldly religion  was even remotely comparable  to the truths  in God’s word.     There is no truth  in any  of the worldly religions  or beliefs.

The grace  and beauty  of God’s truths  in Ephesians 2:8-10  will gloriously shine through  on Judgment Day,

For  by grace  you have been saved  through faith;  and that not  of yourselvesit is the gift  of Godnot as a result  of works,  so that no one  may boast.     For we are His workmanship,  created  in Christ Jesus  for good works,  which God prepared beforehand  so that we would walk  in them.

Let us  let God  work the gift  of His eternal word  in our hearts  —  so that  the truth  can set us free.

In freedom  we joyfully say,  “Hallelujah!     LORD,  thank You  for the most precious gift  of all  —  eternal life  in Christ only —  by grace!”

Love,
Margaret
