The Confession  of Our Hope

God does not want  His children  to be afraid  of confessing their  “hope”  in everlasting life  with Him.     We know  that Jesus  is “King of kings  and Lord of lords”  ( Revelation 19:16),  so we  need to…

…….hold fast  the confession  of our hope  without wavering,  for He  who promised  is faithful.     Hebrews 10:23

We can  “hold fast  the confession  of our hope  because   “He  who promised  is faithful.”     God is totally able  to fulfill His promises  to us  as He has been totally able  to create all  that there is  simply by  the power  of His word  —

For He spoke,  and it was done;
He commanded,  and it stood fast.       Psalm 33:9

We also need  to remember  how God  has faithfully kept  all His promises  of a Savior  to the very last detail,  when Jesus was born,  lived,  suffered,  died,  and was resurrected.     The LORD has proven  that He faithfully fulfills all  of His prophecies.

God has promised  that all who believe  and trust  in Him  belong  to the household  of the LORD,

…if we hold fast  our confidence  and the boast  of our hope firm  until the end.       Hebrews 3:6

That’s saying  that we need  to keep on paying attention  to God’s sure promises  and put our full “confidence”  in those promises  to the very end  of our short lives.     We don’t want  to waver  with doubts  and fears  because  “He who promised  is faithful.”     God has never  let anyone down  on His promises  —  and His power  to keep  His promises  is eternal.     That is why  we don’t need  to waver  in our hope  of everlasting life  with the LORD.

It’s so good  to know  that God  is trustworthy  —  and faithful.     And,  even more than that,  God’s love  has been promised  to uphold us  through all our trials.

Glad  to put our trust  in the Almighty’s trustworthiness,  we say,  “Hallelujah!     LORD,  thank You  for giving us  so many reasons  to put our confidence  in You.”

Love,
Margaret
