So That You  Will Be Able  to Endure It

Our Lord’s compassion,  patience,  and empathy  are so far beyond  our imaginations.     God actually cares deeply  about the temptations  we face daily.     And,  He faithfully stays  by our sides,  encouraging us  to take  the right path.     Whatever  tempts us away  from God’s way,  1 Corinthians 10:13  wants  to point out  a truth  about our situation,

No temptation  has overtaken you  but such  as is common  to man;  and God  is faithful,  who will not allow you  to be tempted  beyond what you are able,  but  with the temptation  will provide  the way  of escape also,  so that you will  be able  to endure it.

We might not want  to admit it  —  but that is the truth.     Whether  we’ve been tempted  with physical pain,  the death  of a loved one,  sinful desires,  the slander  of enemies,  earthly devastations,  poverty,  failures,  or whatever,  God provides some  “way  of escape”so that you will be able  to endure it.      Sometimes,  a person  just feels like wanting  to justify  their bad behavior  and lack of trust  in God Almighty.

But,  when we settle down  and think about it,  God does “provide  the way  of escape”.     It could be in His word  —  seeing how saints  of the past  have continued  in the true faith  and been blessed  in the end.     It could be with a renewed courage  in remembering God’s faithfulness and love.     It could be with a better answer  to life’s problems  that we had never imagined.

God is with us  in all our trials  to help us grow  in faith,  hope,  and love.     Trusting,  we let Him lead  and teach us  the surety  of His love  and power  in caring  for us.

Keeping our eyes  on our Lord,  we say,  “Hallelujah!     LORD,  Your ways  are truly good.     Thank You for Your patience.”

Love,
Margaret
