Making Wise  the Simple

If even an absolute genius  were to honestly consider  our position  on this earth,  he would have  to admit  that not even one  of us  has  any wisdom  like God’s wisdom.     To create  everything  in creation  and have them all work together  to support  a balance  of life  of every sort  on earth  takes a wisdom  and power  far beyond our imagination  —  let alone our ability.

That’s something the LORD wants  all of us  to see,  understand,  and honor  with our whole lives.     We really need  to realize  our position  in this life  as compared to that  of the LORD God Almighty,  our Creator Redeemer.

To help us realize  our position  in this life,  King David says  in Psalm 19:7,

The testimony  of the LORD  is sure,  making wise  the simple.

The “testimony  of the LORD”  is obvious  in His eternal word  —  the Bible.     But,  so many people imagine  that they don’t have time  to read  or meditate  on God’s word  to us.     The things  of this world  just keeps them too busy  to pay much attention  to God’s word.

But  —   the  “testimony  of the LORD”  goes much further  than what we can read  in the Bible.     God’s “testimony”  is also  in every single,  little,  itsy bit  of creation.     That is all around us  every day  —  every moment  —  day and night.     The way in which we breathe in oxygen  and exhale carbon dioxide  —  while plant life takes in carbon dioxide and gives out oxygen  is a miraculous balancing  of life,  in and of itself.     There are innumerable  such miracles constantly.

We need  to pay attention  and realize  what God Almighty is showing us  with our every breath.     With that “testimony of the LORD”  implanted  in our hearts,  we will be allowing God  to make  “wise  the simple”.

Then,  in praise,  we say,  “Hallelujah!     The LORD is God!     The LORD is God!”

Love,
Margaret
