All  Your Works  Shall Give Thanks  to You

The LORD  has done so many  awesome things,  we can’t even begin  to tell  or even think  of them all.     Both history  and all  of creation  show marvelous things  God has done.     That is why King David sings  in Psalm 145:10,

All Your works  shall give thanks  to You,  O LORD,
And Your godly ones  shall bless You.

God’s  “works”  are seen  in history  and creation.     It’s amazing  to read Old Testament prophecies  and see  how they were all fulfilled  to the smallest details  in Christ Jesus.     The prophecies  and fulfillments  were hundreds  and thousands  of years apart.     Only the LORD God could make all those details  come true  in the one man,  Jesus.     That’s an almighty,  eternal power.     That’s the power  that leads  God’s faithful to forever   “bless”  Him and  “give thanks”  to Him.

All those fulfilled prophecies  point to an eternal truth  we need  to always keep  in mind  —  Christ Jesus really is  the Savior  who can actually forgive absolutely all  of our sins,  and take us immediately  to heaven  when we pass out  of this world.     Fulfilled prophecies  like that  are proof  that the LORD is God  —  and that  there is no other god  of any sort  —   only worthless idols,  philosophies,  and imaginations.

That historical evidence  should lead us  to also consider  all of creation.     Everything in creation  is also  an awesome wonder.     None  of creation’s beauty  and purposeful existence  can possibly be accidental  or by chance.     It works  too well together  in making  so many forms  of life  that support life.

For these  and so many more reasons,

All Your works  shall give thanks  to You,  O LORD,
And Your godly ones  shall bless You.

In the wonders  of thanksgiving,  we say,  “Hallelujah!     LORD,  Your name is  blessed forever  for all  that You do  in love.”

Love,
Margaret
