Approved  to God

We all like approval.     But,  the important thing is  —  whose approval?     Do we really love the approval  of other people,  who are sinners,  and may very well lead us into more and more sins?

The apostle Paul tells us  what is better.     In 2 Timothy 2:15  he tells us,

Be diligent  to present yourself approved  to God  as a workman  who does not need  to be ashamed,  accurately handling  the word  of truth.

In this very liberal  and cult influenced world,  many  of every stripe  and color  are trying  to influence us  away  from God’s truths.     With all the cults,  worldly philosophies,  and false doctrines  around us,  we really do need  to  “be diligent  to present yourself  approved  to God.

We are not here  to get all sorts pats  on the back  —  or to present worldly,  false teachings  that please the ego  of other people.     So many  have an ego they want  to feed.

We are here to “accurately”  handle  “the word  of truth”.     If we want eternal life  and fellowship  with our Creator Redeemer,  we need God’s approval  —  not man’s.     Do we have a clue  about how very important it is  to handle  “the word of truth”  so very “accurately”.

In our diligence  to present God’s word  “accurately”,  we need  to study God’s word  as it is presented  in the Bible.     Studying only another person’s opinion  can be very misleading  and dangerous to our salvation.     And,  studying only little bits  of God’s word,  can also give us the wrong impression.     We need  to “be diligent”  in studying  God’s word  —  each day.

Think about it.     Compare it to other Bible verses.     Then tell what you have learned.

In wonder  of God’s marvelous truths,  we say,  “Hallelujah!     LORD,  thank You  for giving us  Your saving word.”

Love,
Margaret
