The Word  of Our God  Stands Forever

So many disregard  God’s word  in the Bible.     Some claim the Bible  is filled  with errors.     They are oblivious  to the fact  that its prophecies  over thousands  of years  have been fulfilled.     In the same breath,  they want  to claim  that certain false prophets,  whose recorded prophecies  have failed  to come true,  are trustworthy.     That doesn’t make sense,  but people follow these false prophets anyway.

There are also followers  of other false prophets  who claim they certainly do believe  all of the Bible  as inspired,  but they also trust  in some modern day false prophet,  whose prophecies  have not come true  —  and whose prophecies  do not agree  with God’s word.

The Bible warns us  to stay away  from all false teachings  and false prophets.    How will we recognize  a false prophet?     Jesus tells us  in Matthew 7:20,

You will know them  by their fruits.

Haven’t they  proven themselves liars  when their prophecies  do not come true?     Do all  their teachings agree  with God’s word?     To answer these questions,  and know the kinds  of fruit  God wants us  to have,  we need  to study our Bibles  and know what these preachers preach.

In the end,  God’s word  assures us  in Isaiah 40:8,

The grass withers,  the flower fades,
But the word  of our God  stands forever.

Our lives  are relatively very short.     As we struggle  through this life,  we need  to humbly submit  to God’s word  as it is written  for us  in the Bible.     We need  to realize  that God’s word  in the Bible surely  “stands forever”.     God’s word  is what we need  to learn  and live by.

Our struggles  in identifying false preachers  is also relatively short  when we put our faith  in God’s word alone.     False prophets  will not stand “forever”.

Resting  in God’s word,  we say,  “Hallelujah!     LORD,  thank You  for Your eternal word.”

Love,
Margaret
