The Word  I Spoke  Is What Will  Judge Him

We need  to realize  all the ways  in which people mock  and despise Jesus  —  our Creator Redeemer.     Through all sorts  of media,  cults,  false preaching,  defiantly sinful living,  blasphemous words,  etc.,  we are bombarded  every day  with things that show a despising  of Jesus.     Have we become  hardened-in  to it all?     Is all that  slowly  but surely  eating away  at our faith  and life style?

We need  to be careful  and watchful  in what is happening  to us  as this world influences us  with all sorts  of seemingly “smart” ideas  and their popular,  sinful life styles.     The world won’t feel  so smart  come their judgment day.     Jesus said  in John 12:48,

He  who rejects Me  and does not receive  My sayings,  has one  who judges him;  the word  I spoke  is what will judge him  at the last day.

God gives us  a whole life time  to hear  and learn  His “word”,  so we can come  to understand  that all of God’s prophecies  about the Savior  have come true.     No one but God Almighty  can make so many prophecies  come true  —  with the evidence  in history.     That is exactly why  rejecting God’s  “word”  and not believing Jesus’ words  will “judge”  all unbelievers.

Because God’s  “word”  in the Old Testament  often prophesies the Savior  —  and then Jesus,  our Savior came as a true man  and God,  John 1:14 tells us,

And the Word  became flesh,  and dwelt among us,  and we saw His glory,  glory as of the only begotten  from the Father,  full of grace  and truth.

This is why  all unbelievers  will be judged  for all eternity.     They’ve had a lifetime  to  “receive”  God’s  “word”,  but keep on refusing  to accept  the truth.

But all believers  have a great comfort  in Jesus’ words  in John 8:51,

Truly,  truly,  I say  to you,  if anyone  keeps My word  he will never  see death.

To “keep”  Jesus’ word  is  to believe it.     As we have peace  in believing Jesus,  we say,  “Hallelujah!     Lord Jesus,  Your word is eternal.”

Love,
Margaret
