Your Hands  Made Me

In this modern world,  abortion is being accepted  as an okay alternative  in one’s choices  of lifestyles.     But,  what some people choose  to defiantly approve of  is not in agreement  with the LORD’s eternal word.     We all need  to learn God’s word  and accept its truths,  because  in the end  our words  and choices  may well condemn us  for eternity.

For a truthful  realization  of what this life  is all about,  we should consider  the prayer  in Psalm 119:73,

Your hands  made me  and fashioned me;
Give me understanding,  that I may learn  Your commandments.

The truth is  that God Almighty  has  “made”  and  “fashioned”  every single one  of us.     We are all special  to God,  and He wants us  to  “learn”  His  “commandments”  so that our  “understanding”  would be right  and able  to guide us rightly through this world.

Every baby  in the womb  is being “fashioned”  by God.     To abort  that life  is to destroy  what God is working on.     Obviously,  each one reading this  has not been aborted  in the womb.     People consider  their own lives important.     They want to live  without harassment  or someone trying  to kill them.     The life  in the womb needs  to be treated  with the same care  that we want  for ourselves.

When people lack  an  “understanding” of God’s authority  in all of creation,  they are blind  to all the wonders  and love  behind all  that He has created.     Their lovelessness  leads them  into all sorts  of evil.     That is why  we all need  to fervently pray  that God would grant us  a right  “understanding”  and knowledge of God’s  “commandments”.     There is so much love  and goodness  connected  to the wisdom  of each and every commandment.

God’s command  to not murder is a two-way expression  of love towards us.     Just as we want others  to treat us  with love and respect,  we are  to treat everyone else  with love and respect.

Thankful  for God’s word  to teach us,  we say,  “Hallelujah!     LORD,  let us grow  in Your everlasting love.”

Love,
Margaret
