Everyone  Who Beholds  the Son

Jesus said something  that should make  every one  of us  sit up  and take note  —  especially when  we feel frustrated  about whatever.     He said  in John 6:40,

For this  is the will  of My Father,  that everyone  who beholds  the Son  and believes  in Him  will have eternal life,  and I Myself  will raise him up  on the last day.

God Almighty,  our Creator Redeemer,  wants something special  for every single one  of us.     First,  God points  to  “everyone  who beholds the Son”.     So,  first of all,  we need  to  “behold the Son”.     We need  to look at Jesus  and His whole life.     We need  to compare all  of the prophecies  about a Savior  with the life  of Jesus,  as recorded  in the Bible.     We need  to realize  how only Jesus  fulfilled all those prophecies  that were made  over thousands  of years.

Then comes  the big realization.     We need to  “believe  in Him”.     When we see  all the evidence laid out,  we need to truthfully realize  that Jesus is  the fulfillment  of many prophecies.     Such a thing  would be impossible  for anyone  but God Almighty.

Then,  listening  to Jesus  in John 6,  we need  to realize  His awesome promise  of  “eternal life”.     It’s an “eternal life”  where Jesus Himself  “will raise”  us  “up  on the last day”.     That’s an unimaginable truth.     Even though  we can’t fully imagine it now,  it will marvelously happen  “on the last day”.

There will be  more joy  and wonder  than we’ve  ever imagined possible.

So,  when this world tries  to drag us down,  let us “behold the Son  and believe  in Him”.     Be assured  that Jesus will give us “eternal life”  and raise us up  “on the last day”.

Confident  in Jesus’ eternal promises,  we say,  “Hallelujah!     Lord Jesus,  You have proven Yourself  to be eternally true.     Help us  to always see that  in a true faith.”

Love,
Margaret
