While  He May Be Found

Sometimes  our time  for finding  a lost item  is limited.     There are ever so many scenarios  for needing  to find something  in a limited time.     We are constrained by so many factors.     But,  our very most important  need  to find something  holds our eternal life  in the balance.     Isaiah 55:6-8 tells us,

Seek  the LORD  while He may be found;
Call upon Him  while He is near.
Let the wicked  forsake his way
And the unrighteous man  his thoughts;
And let him  return  to the LORD,
And He will have compassion  on him,
And to our God,
For He will abundantly pardon.
“For  My thoughts  are not  your thoughts,
Nor are  your ways  My ways,”  declares  the LORD.

Our very,  most important need  is to find  the LORD,  our God.     He wants us  to abandon our wickedness  and sinful thoughts,  as we realize  that only the LORD  is what we need  to satisfy  all our needs.

If we continue  in our worldly wicked ways,  God might no longer  be “near”.     So we need to  “return  to the LORD”  as soon as we can  so that He can  “have compassion” on us  and  “abundantly pardon”  us  for all  of our wicked ways.

When we feel doubtful  and anxious  about the thought  of returning  “to the LORD”,  we need  to calm down  and remember  that He compassionately reminded us,  “For My thoughts  are not your thoughts,  nor are your ways  My ways”.     God is different  from crooked,  deceitful mankind.     When God forgives  —  He really forgives  and forgets.     That’s because  He is holy  and righteous.     Everything He has said  is trustworthy.

We only have this short lifetime  to “seek the LORD”.     We don’t even know  how much longer  we will live.     Time just goes by so quickly.

We will find the LORD  and all His promises  in His word  —  the Bible.

So glad  that God shows us  how to find Him,  we say,  “Hallelujah!     LORD,  thank You  for Your compassionate  and patient love.”

Love,
Margaret
