A House  of Prayer  for All  the Peoples

The LORD God alone  knows  the hearts,  minds,  and most secret intentions  of every single person  on earth.     He knows a person’s honesty,  knowledge  of His truths,  and desire  to live  in God’s truth.     God alone  is fully capable  of judging  each  and every one of us  in a true righteousness  and appropriate compassion.

We,  on the other hand,  need  to always look  to God’s word  for guidance  in figuring out  our positions  on this earth.     We are prone  to misjudgments  and really need  God’s given word  to guide us.

Isaiah 56 speaks of  our LORD’s  compassionate,  true  love and full acceptance  of every person  in the whole wide world,  who wants  to serve Him rightly.     Nobody has to be an Israelite  to be considered God’s true child,  who will be given the gifts  of God’s blessings.     He truly considers everyone  who comes to Him  as His own dear children,  who will be given eternal salvation.

Everyone  who serves the LORD  according  to His word  is assured  of His promise  in Isaiah 56:7,

Even those  I will bring  to My holy mountain
And make them joyful  in My house  of prayer.
Their burnt offerings  and their sacrifices  will be acceptable  on My altar;
For My house  will be called  a house  of prayer  for all the peoples.

As God mentioned  the various peoples  in Isaiah 56,  He always pointed  to those  who honestly wanted  to serve Him  according to His word.     God accepts and saves those  who want  to serve Him  according to His word  —  not those who despise Him  and purposely disregard  His holy word.     That’s quite a difference.     We note verses  throughout the Bible  that point  to that same  righteousness  of God.

So,  we are  to welcome all  of God’s  children  into God’s  “house of prayer”  to learn,  serve,  and worship.     But,  those who despise God’s ways  and salvation  —  and want to change  God’s given word  —  are not to be considered  children  of God.

Ever thankful  for our Lord’s salvation,  we say,  “Hallelujah!     LORD,  thank You  for Your eternal word  and salvation  for all who believe  in You.”

Love,
Margaret
