To Him Belong  Strength  And Insight

Probably  the most major flaw  of humanity  is to imagine  that we have  both  “strength  and insight”  for solving all  of our problems.     We might think  and hope that,  but our Creator Redeemer  knows differently.     We need  to remember what Job points out  about God  in  Job 12:16-25,

To Him belong strength  and insight;
both deceived  and deceiver  are His.

He leads rulers away stripped
and makes fools  of judges.
He takes off  the shackles  put on by kings
and ties a loincloth  around their waist.

He leads priests away  stripped
and overthrows officials  long established.

He silences  the lips  of trusted advisers
and takes away  the discernment  of elders.

He pours contempt  on nobles
and disarms  the mighty.

He reveals  the deep things  of darkness
and brings utter darkness  into the light.

He makes nations great,  and destroys them;
He enlarges nations,  and disperses them.
He deprives  the leaders  of the earth  of their reason;
He makes them wander  in a trackless waste.
They grope  in darkness  with no light;
He makes them stagger  like drunkards.

This points out just a few  of the almighty things  the LORD does  —  while we don’t even understand  what is going on  in whatever country we live in.     The bottom line is  that God our Savior  is in control  of all things  —  always has been,  and always will be.

We can look through  Job’s list  and see how it has applied  down through history, since the beginning of time.

The bottom line is  that the LORD God Almighty  is in control  of all things  —  always has been  —  and always will be.     Our whole being  is in His loving care  and that’s what we need  to see  and trust in  —  as we lean on Jesus’ sacrifice  to save us  from all our sins.

With whoever knows  that God is  in control,  let us say,  “Hallelujah!     Thank You LORD,  for Your infinite care  and love.”

A Christian devotional  to glorify  the LORD of lords  and GOD of gods.

Pray for our country.
