Judge With Righteous Judgment

People get upset  with things  they don’t understand.     The things  they don’t understand  can be very good  —  and to their benefit  —  but,  their lack  of understanding  leads them  to “judge” wrongly.     In this world  of sin,  Christians are often judged wrongly  and persecuted  without a logical  or just reason.

It was the same  with Jesus.     Many Jews judged Jesus  to be an awful sinner  because He healed people  on the Sabbath Day.     Others could not figure out how  He could know  so much  about God  when He had  no formal religious schooling.     That made them very skeptical  and judgmental  against Him.     And others  hatefully judged Jesus  because He did not follow  the many man-made religious traditions  of the Jews.

Non of these judgments  were right  or good  in any way.     There were even some Jewish leaders making plans  to kill Jesus  because they were jealous  when people listened to Jesus  and followed Him.     One day,  Jesus was confronted,  and He replied  to them  in John 7:23-24,

If a man  receives circumcision  on the Sabbath  so that the Law of Moses  will not be broken,  are you angry  with Me  because I made  an entire man well  on the Sabbath?     Do not judge  according to appearance,  but judge  with righteous judgment.

We,  too,  need to “judge”  Jesus  “with righteous judgment”.

Jesus has been proven  to be the promised Savior  because His whole life  was a fulfillment  of many Old Testament prophecies.     Those who can’t see that  are blind and short sighted.     To gain an honest “judgment” of Jesus,  we need  to honestly study all  of His word  to us.     Otherwise,  we are being foolish  and nonsensical  —  bringing  “judgment” down on ourselves.

Remember  —  in the end,  Jesus will “judge”  all things  —  including  every single one  of us.

Seeing Jesus  as Lord and God  over all,  we respectfully say,  “Hallelujah!     Lord Jesus,  Your testimony  has been proven true.     Keep our eyes  and hearts open  to the blessings  of Your love and salvation.”

Love,
Margaret
