Those Who Hate

I’m sure  most people are aware  of all the violence  and vile hatred  being spewed  around the world.     There isn’t even a valid reason  behind any of it.     The Bible often mentions “hate”.     Some might be surprised  to learn  that even God hates.     Psalm 11:5 plainly says,

The LORD  tests  the righteous  and the wicked,
And the one  who loves violence  His soul hates.

On top of that,  Psalm 81:15 says,

Those  who hate  the LORD  would pretend obedience  to Him,
And their time  of punishment  would be forever.

Those who hate the LORD”  are the ones who “pretend obedience  to Him”.     They proclaim  their self-righteousness,  while spewing out lies,  slandering the innocent,  destroying property,  attacking people,  and screaming obscenities.     Though they say they are right,  God’s word says differently.     Psalm 21:9  shows God’s judgment,

You will make them  as a fiery oven  in the time  of your anger;
The LORD  will swallow them up  in His wrath,
And fire  will devour them.

That will be a sad demise.     As much as they loudly proclaim  their righteousness,  they seem unaware  that Galatians 5:22-23 says,

But the fruit  of the Spirit  is love,  joy,  peace,  patience,  kindness,  goodness,  faithfulness,  gentleness,  self-control;  against such things  there is no law.

Titus 3:1-7  spells it out  for Christians,

Remind them  to be subject to rulers,  to authorities,  to be obedient,  to be ready for every good deed,  to malign no one,  to be peaceable,  gentle,  showing every consideration  for all men.      For we also once  were foolish ourselves,  disobedient,  deceived,  enslaved to various lusts  and pleasures,  spending our life  in malice  and envy,  hateful,  hating one another.      But  when the kindness of God  our Savior  and His love  for mankind appeared,   He saved us,  not  on the basis of deeds  which we have done  in righteousness,  but according to His mercy,  by the washing  of regeneration  and renewing  by the Holy Spirit,   whom He poured out  upon us richly  through Jesus Christ  our Savior,   so that being justified  by His grace  we would be made heirs  according to the hope  of eternal life

Knowing God’s love,  we say,  “Hallelujah!     LORD,  thank You  for loving us  and wanting  to save us.”

Love,
Margaret
