You Turn Things Around!

You Turn Things Around!

It can be so frustrating  when someone tries  to “turn things around”   on us.     But,  sad to say,  that is just what we sometimes try  to do  with the LORD God Almighty  —  our Maker  and Redeemer.     We want  to hide  all our faults and sins,  imagining  they can even be hidden  from God.     So,  Isaiah 29:15-16 says  to all,

Woe to those  who deeply hide  their plans  from the LORD,
And whose deeds  are done  in a dark place,
And they say,  “Who sees us?”  or  “Who knows us?”

You turn things around!
Shall the potter  be considered as equal  with the clay,
That  what is made  would say  to its maker,  “He did not make me”;
Or what is formed say  to him  who formed it,  “He has no understanding”?

How often  do we feel  that God does not  understand us?     We even imagine  that we have a right   to sin  in various situations.     But,  Galatians 5:16-22  points out  the truth  of what should be  our walk  with God,  confirming  our faith  and salvation,

But I say,  walk by the Spirit,  and you will not carry out  the desire  of the flesh.     For the flesh  sets its desire  against the Spirit,  and the Spirit  against the flesh;  for these are  in opposition  to one another,  so that you may not do  the things  that you please.

But if you are led  by the Spirit,  you are not under  the Law.     Now the deeds  of the flesh  are evident,  which are:  immorality,  impurity,  sensuality,  idolatry,  sorcery,  enmities,  strife,  jealousy,  outbursts of anger,  disputes,  dissensions,  factions,  envying,  drunkenness,  carousing,  and things like these,  of which I forewarn you,  just as I have forewarned you,  that those who practice  such things  will not inherit  the kingdom  of God.     But the fruit  of the Spirit  is love,  joy,  peace,  patience,  kindness,  goodness,  faithfulness,  gentleness,  self-control;  against such things  there is no law.

This should give us  a clear understanding  of how  to walk rightly  with God  —  for the sake  of our salvation  from the love of God  through Christ Jesus.

Let us never try  to “turn things around”   with our Creator Redeemer.

In the beauty  of God’s love  and salvation,  we say,  “Hallelujah!     LORD,  Your mercy  is great!”

Love,
Margaret
