You Crown Him with Glory and Majesty

You Crown Him with Glory and Majesty

God does so many wondrous things  that we will never be able  to figure out.     His ways certainly are not  man’s ways.     King David thought  about this  when he wrote Psalm 8:3-5,

When I consider  Your heavens,  the work of Your fingers,
The moon  and the stars,  which You have ordained;
What is man  that You take thought  of him,
And the son of man  that You care  for him?
Yet  You have made him  a little lower  than the angels,
And You crown him  with glory  and majesty!

When we think  of the vastness and majesty  of all the heavens,  with stars  that are many times the size  of our sun,  and how the movements  of all these stars  has accurately kept time  for mankind  for thousands of years,  it’s fascinating  to realize  how much God cares  for each of us  on this tiny planet,  Earth.

In all creation,  God cares so much  for us  that Jesus says  in Matthew 10:30-31,

The very hairs  of your head  are all numbered.    Therefore  do not fear;  you are  of more value  than many sparrows.

God Almighty has numbered  our very hairs  in this vast creation.     And King David says  in Psalm 139:1-3,

O LORD,  Thou hast searched me  and known me.
Thou dost know  when I sit down  and when I rise up;
Thou dost understand  my thought  from afar.
Thou dost scrutinize  my path  and my lying down,
And art intimately acquainted  with all my ways.

In all the vastness  of creation, God knows  how many hairs  are on our heads,  along with our every thought  and movement.     In other words,  God really cares  for each of us.     Even though the stars  are humongous and glorious,  we little creatures  were made  a little lower  than the angels.

We might be small  in size compared  to a star,  but the LORD God was pleased  to crown us  with glory  and majesty.     Our worth  in God’s eyes  is ever so great.

We are so near and dear  to the heart  of God  that He gladly paid  the full price  for our redemption.    As 1 Peter 1:18-19 says,

Knowing  that you were not redeemed  with perishable things  like silver or gold  from your futile way  of life  inherited from your forefathers,  but with precious blood,  as of a lamb  unblemished  and spotless,  the blood  of Christ.

We need  to always realize  just how dearly  God loves us,  even in all our struggles.     In the same breath,  we need  to realize how greatly  God loves  and values every person  He has brought  into our lives.     Knowing  that God loves them  should lead us  to daily bring them  before our Lord  in prayer,  so that they would be blessed  with all the fullness  of God’s truths.     It should be  our ardent prayer  that God would lead  each and every one of them  in the salvation  that is found only  in Jesus Christ,  the LORD of lords,  and King of kings.

As we realize the priceless worth  of everyone  around us,  we say,  “Hallelujah!     Lord,  Your love  crowns us  with glory  and majesty.     May our whole lives  glorify Your name  as we share Your blessings  with those around us.”

Love,
Margaret
