Wait for His Lovingkindness

Wait for His Lovingkindness

Look around.     There are literally thousands  of miracles  of life  everywhere we look.     Whether we are observing a tiny spider  creating a web  or looking at the night-time stars  a million light years away,  we are seeing God’s power manifested.     That’s all glory.     It all reveals a power  of creation  way above our puny efforts  to mix up a cake  that won’t fall  in the middle.

We are nothing  in our creative imaginations  and abilities  compared to the LORD God Almighty.    That is why  it is a very good thing  to learn to sing  His praises  and acknowledge His awesome greatness.     Who are we  to do otherwise?

This God,  who so many refuse  to accept,  is the One  who gives us our breath,  eye sight,  hearing,  and everything else we think of  as our own.     He is the One  who makes the grains grow  so we can have something  to eat — not to mention fruits,  nuts,  veggies,  meats of all sorts,  etc.    And just so that all  of that could happen  for our good,  God sees to it  that we get the necessary rains,  sunshine,  and soil building activities  that enable things  to grow.

Life is an awesome system created  with an intelligence  far beyond anything  we can conceive of.     If we can’t see that,  we’re not paying attention.

When we respectfully realize  how awesome creation is,  it only makes sense  to respect the Creator  of it all.     He’s obviously  a whole lot greater  than anyone else we know.      This is the One  who quietly provides  for all our needs.    He really doesn’t  “have to”   if He doesn’t feel like it.     But,  His whole essence loves us,  just because  we are a part  of His creation.

So,  when we,  His creation,  are sensible enough  to give Him a grateful “Thank You!”  He is pleased  with our sensibility  and acknowledgment  of His love  towards us.    God is pleased  when we know how  to face the truth  of our situation  on earth.    That is why the writer  of Psalm 147:11 wrote:

The LORD favors those  who fear Him,
Those who wait  for His lovingkindness
.

Just because all  of our blessings come  from the LORD,  He wants us  to respectfully look  to Him  for all our needs.    We are to “wait for His lovingkindness.”     That willingness  to wait  is a love,  trust,  and faith.

As we wait  for the LORD’s lovingkindness  to fulfill our needs,  we say,  “Hallelujah!     Heavenly Father,  Your ways  are awesome.     Thank You  for providing  for our needs.”

Love,
Margaret
