Your Father Knows
Presidents, political leaders, kings, prime ministers, company executives, etc. most likely know very well what the people under them desire and need. That does not mean they care or want to fulfill those needs. The motives for their actions might more likely be based on their own desire for power.
With all of our earthly desires, we can become overwhelmed. We can easily get to worrying, feeling let down, or bitterly thinking we deserve better things in life. With all of our fretting, we forget that this earth and everything in it is not our real home. When Jesus taught about our needs in this life, He said in Luke 12:28-31,
But if God so arrays the grass in the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, how much more will He clothe you, O men of little faith!
And do not seek what you shall eat, and what you shall drink, and do not keep worrying. For all these things the nations of the world eagerly seek; but your Father knows that you need these things.
But seek for His kingdom, and these things shall be added to you.
Our physical needs are often given greater attention than our spiritual needs. We seem oblivious to our much greater need to learn to trust God Almighty, our heavenly Father. If we don’t come to have faith, hope and love in this world, we have lost everything. So, that needs to be our number one priority.
For whatever challenges we have to face in this world, let us learn to put our faith and trust in our heavenly Father. He will provide for our needs in a way that will help us to grow spiritually and He will give us the strength we need to get through every situation with flying colors. Jesus says in Luke 18:27,
The things impossible with men are possible with God.
Let us always trust our Lord to carry us through every storm of life. All He asks is that we entrust our whole lives to Him. In faith, we then say, “Hallelujah! My Lord, You really do provide for all my needs according to Your grace and wisdom for our eternal good.”
