We Overwhelmingly Conquer

We Overwhelmingly Conquer
The world is in a turmoil in many ways. There are wars, terrorists, political wranglings, economic woes, natural disasters, and all sorts of personal concerns. Some feel hopeless and unable to endure the stress. But, when we face the truth of how God has given us a Savior in Jesus Christ and that all things will be judged justly in the end, we can be at peace and say along with Paul in Romans 8:35-39,
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Just as it is written,
“For Thy sake we are being put to death all day long;
We were considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”
But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Whatever sort of thing tries to eternally destroy God’s children will fail — as we put our faith in Jesus Christ, the God of gods, LORD of lords and King of kings. In many places in God’s word, we are forewarned that we will surely face all sorts of trials and tribulations. That is why Paul quoted Psalm 44:22, saying, “For Thy sake we are being put to death all day long; we were considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”
As we face our particular turmoils, let us “overwhelmingly conquer” through faith in Jesus Christ. Let us look to Him. Put our hope in Him. Trust in Him. He alone is able to help us in our needs.
And, He is waiting for us to call on Him.
As we realize that we have to face this world’s problems, we say, “Hallelujah! My Savior, You have already won the victory over sin, death, and the devil. Help me to always remember that I can win because You have already won. Blessed be Your loving faithfulness.”
Love,
Margaret
