Thy Godly Ones Shall Bless Thee
There definitely is a difference between people. Some trust in the LORD and others don’t. Some thank God for His blessings and others don’t. Some believe Jesus’ death on the cross gives us the gift of eternal salvation and others don’t believe. Some believe God created all that there is and others don’t. This list could get very detailed.
People have been different from the beginning of time. Throughout the Bible we read about those differences and the conflicts of good and evil. Those who know the love and mercy of the Lord want to tell others about God’s love — and those who hate the message of God’s word try to shut down everyone who shares the gospel.
In Psalm 145:10-12, David tells about those who know God’s greatness. He says,
All Thy works shall give thanks to Thee, O LORD,
And Thy godly ones shall bless Thee.
They shall speak of the glory of Thy kingdom,
And talk of Thy power;
To make known to the sons of men Thy mighty acts,
And the glory of the majesty of Thy kingdom.
God’s “godly ones” cannot help but tell others about the greatness of God. It’s no wonder that King David wrote so many psalms extolling the Lord’s love, mercy and compassion.
We look at our own lives. What do we know about God’s truths and love for us? What do we do to share those truths and love?
The only way we can know the firmness of those truths and love is to study God’s word and find out for ourselves. When we really know, we will share more and more. Then King David’s words will be true about us, too.
When we’re ever so glad for God’s patient love towards us, we say, “Hallelujah! Lord, You do all things well in all of creation and in granting us the gift of salvation in Jesus Christ. Thank You for Your proven trustworthiness.”
Love,
Margaret
