Who Has Made His Counsel Wonderful

December 5, 2018

Who Has Made His Counsel Wonderful

So much of the time  we need a good counselor — someone who can really be trusted  in his wisdom,  love,  truthfulness,  and faithfulness.     We do have that very needed counselor  in the Lord.     Isaiah 28:29  tells us,

This also comes  from the LORD of hosts,
Who has made  His counsel wonderful  and His wisdom great.

The LORD  made  His counsel wonderful — He  made”  His wisdom great.     How’s that?

We know  that all of the Bible contains  the counsel and wisdom  of the LORD.     When we read God’s word  from cover to cover,  we realize  that this collection of writings  took place  over thousands of years.     Then we see  how in the beginning,  the Lord made promises  —  or prophecies,  if you will  —  and all  of His promises  of a Savior  came true  in Jesus Christ,  not to mention  other fulfilled prophecies  that are a part of history.

Our common sense tells us  that this  God of the Bible  has got to have power  that spans  over thousands of years  of time.     Since He has proven  He has  that sort of power,  wouldn’t  it be prudent  for us  to listen up  when He tells us  how we should live  and how we have salvation  through faith  in Christ Jesus?

We all need guidance.     We all need real,  honest wisdom.     Why not open up  God’s word  and start learning  from the LORD and Creator  of all things?     After all,  He made us  and through His grace  we can receive eternal salvation  in Jesus Christ.

Leaning  on the Word of God,  we say,  “Hallelujah!     Lord,  Your word is pure  and holy  forever and ever.    Your wisdom is eternal.     Let me always live by it.”
