Find Good

Find Good

Proverbs 16:20

He who gives attention  to the word  shall  find good,
And blessed is he  who trusts  in the LORD.

There is security and joy  in what is truly good.     And that is just what we have  when we pay attention  to the word of God — the Bible.     As we take time every day  to study God’s word  and apply it to our lives,  we will  “find good” — the good assurance  of how our Lord has fulfilled prophecy  over thousands of years — the good knowledge  of our salvation  through faith  in Jesus Christ — the wonders  of God’s faithfulness  in leading us  to our heavenly home,  and ever so much more.

As we read all  of God’s word to us,  we are listening  to our Creator and Redeemer.     In seeing the word  of God  from beginning to end,  we will gain the insight  of how God has proven  that all of His word is totally trustworthy and true.     That is so good and necessary  as we have to face  our personal trials.

As we learn about all  that God has done  since the beginning of time,  and the immense love He has for us  in Jesus Christ,  we will come  to trust the Lord  and be able  to be content  in His care.    That is when we can learn the truth  of  “blessed is he  who trusts  in the LORD”.

In the goodness  of God’s word,  we are truly blessed.

Let’s delve into it  and enjoy the blessings  our Lord wants  to give us.     Then,  as we  “find good”  things  to help us in this life,  we say,  “Hallelujah!     Lord,  the treasures You want to share  with us,  lead us  to a peace and joy the world cannot fathom.     Help us  to always abide  in Your word,  so that we can realize the greatness  of Your power and love.”
