The Grace of God Instructing Us

April 10, 2019

The Grace of God Instructing Us

It doesn’t matter how old we are — what our educational background might be — what our life circumstances are — everyone  always needs the grace  of God  instructing them  in the right way to go.     Whether we are a world leader  or not,  if God’s grace is not instructing us,  we will not be able  to reach heaven.

When God’s grace instructs the poorest person  on earth,  that poorest person is actually amongst the richest  and most blessed  in eternity.     All those who are enslaved  to the ways of this world  are totally blind  to this truth,  but that doesn’t make it any less true.     Everyone who lets the world be their guide  in life  may think they are  “in-the-know”  and  “on-top-of-it-all”,  but actually  they are being very foolish  because they are not letting their Creator and Redeemer teach them anything.

Everyone needs  to be wise enough  to accept the fact  that our Creator and Redeemer has a whole lot more wisdom,  power,  and authority than any of us mortals can even conceive of.

The apostle Paul realized  how awesome it is  that God’s love and grace stoops down  to help us  on our way,  if we are willing  to accept that grace.     That’s why Paul wrote  in Titus 2:11-14,

For the grace of God  has appeared,  bringing salvation to all men,  instructing us  to deny ungodliness  and worldly desires  and to live sensibly,  righteously  and godly  in the present age,  looking for the blessed hope  and the appearing  of the glory  of our great God and Savior,  Christ Jesus;  who gave Himself  for us,  that He might redeem us  from every lawless deed  and purify for Himself  a people for His own possession,  zealous for good deeds.

Do we want  to be God’s own people — and live eternally  with our Lord?     Then we need  to acknowledge Jesus  as our one-and-only Savior  and let Him instruct us  in His word  in the Bible.     With Jesus  as our Savior and Teacher,  we will be purified  and led  to do what is right and good.

Free from the influences  of this world,  we say,  “Hallelujah!     My Lord,  thank You  for loving me  so graciously  and desiring my eternal salvation  in Jesus Christ.     May I always know how  to listen rightly  to Your word  that I may truly grow  in grace.”
