By Faith We Understand

As we delve into the word of God,  our faith grows  —  and we realize things  that the rest of the world wants  to deny,  ignore,  or misconstrue.     That is why Hebrews 11:3 says:

By faith  we understand  that the worlds were prepared  by the word  of God,  so that what is seen  was not made out of things  which are visible.

That matches up  with all the descriptions of creation  in Genesis, chapter 1,  where  for every day of creation described  it says, “Then God said…….”     That truth is also expressed  in Psalm 33:6-9,

By the word of the LORD the heavens were made,

And by the breath  of His mouth  all their host,

He gathers the waters  of the sea together as a heap;

He lays up the deeps  in storehouses.

Let all the earth  fear the LORD;

Let all the inhabitants of the world  stand in awe of Him.

For He spoke, and it was done;

He commanded,  and it stood fast.

Remembering  that the LORD is the Almighty,  with no beginning and no end,  we need  to take all of His word seriously,  in faith.     God does not lie  because He is righteous and holy.     It is impossible  for Him to lie.     So when the world  tries to push contradictory ideas  upon God’s children,  we need  to realize the truth  and stand by it.

The unbelief  and misconstruing  of this world  will not stand  in the end.     We need  to have great respect  for that truth.      “By faith  we understand”  and by faith we stand  in the eternal word of God.

Ever joyful  in the power and truths  of our LORD,  we say,  “Hallelujah!     LORD,  thank You ever so much   for keeping us  in Your truths.”

Love,
Margaret
